Art Deco Hotel Montana Luzern

Great location with beautiful lake views. Clean modern hotel and great facilities. Good sized room and gorgeous bathroom. Great food and plenty of vegetarian choices on restaurant menu. Breakfast in the terrace restaurant also a delight with plenty of choice. We were lucky with the weather and were able to access the Seebad lido across the road from hotel to swim in Lake Lucern which was a fabulous treat. Pilatus golden round trip also amazing and worth the money on a clear day. Hotel provides a free pass which allows free bus travel in Lucerne. Hotel is well located in a quieter part of Lucerne but only 5 min bus ride to the old town or train/bus station.

This hotel is beautiful. Staff were amazing and the decor of the hotel is just stunning. We ate in the restaurant on our second night and the food was incredible. Terrace is incredible with views of lake Luzern and lovely cocktails. We were celebrating our anniversary and we got a small box of chocolates which was a lovely treat. It is up a steep hill but theres a free cable car that runs all the time so no issue! Bathroom facilities with hairdryer also amazing.

When we checked in, Lyn showed us to our room on the 5th floor. We stay at ADM during our last week of our vacation to Europe. Therefore I spurged on the room. The room Lyn showed us was not the room I had requested when I made my reservation back in Aug. Lyn was amazing and quickly turned the rooms around so that we had the room I had wanted. We were very pleased and enjoyed the hot tub and the views for our 6 night stay.

We loved how warm, friendly and helpful the staff were. In particular the gentleman in charge of the breakfast restaurant was lovely, as was his female colleague with long dark hair. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us feel special everyday. The lady who cleaned our room was VERY nice, and all the hotel receptionists were incredibly helpful and friendly. In particular, one younger male receptionist so kindly brought us warm milk one evening when we wanted coffee in our room. A wonderful hotel, where I've stayed before and would definitely return.

The Montana is a beautiful hotel in a good location, accessible to Old Town by bus or walking if you like to walk but could be a little far for non walkers who can then use bus or taxi. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved the funicular to reach the Main Street and bus line. We loved the views and our room on second floor was roomy. The Scala restaurant bar on site was very good.
